Here's a nice thing that happened to me a few weeks ago. I drove home for lunch and then shut myself out of the house at 2.20pm, I therefore had 10 minutes to get the 1.8 miles back to the office. Before setting off I stood outside my door for a minute considering what had happened; the incident caused a small shut down within me because I didn't want to accept what had just happened.

Eventually the gravity of the situation brought me round & I had no choice but to be off on my way. However, running in work shoes, trousers & a shirt is not a very nice thing to do actually. Also, I had a jacket for some reason and it was very hot, so I ended up having to carry this.

After jogging to the best of my ability for the best part of twenty minutes I decided it was far too hot and I would simply have to be very late. I walked the rest of the way and by the time I got into the office my shirt was saturated in sweat, this was magnified by the coefficient of dark blue material that the shirt was made out of, causing the patches to be rather blatant. This was unpleasant.

On the up side of all this was that there were no managers around, so I got away with being late back from lunch. After work I walked home, it was annoying because the run had caused my work shoes to start rubbing and the further walking really was a bind weed. When I got back Tash had already got home so I didn't have to wait, I was let in the house and that was that.
