I woke up with a bit of a start today when my alarm went off for one reason only. This was because I was in the middle of a very peculiar dream. Here’s the credo.
I was at work and it was 5.30pm, home time. I went outside to wait for my Dad to pick me up which was weird because the whole of the car park was like some big bus depot, having waited 20 minutes or so I decided to get on a bus instead of waiting for my Dad. Once on the bus I realised it was the wrong one but I couldn't get off because everyone was standing. The bus set off and I had no idea where I was going! I then realised that I had told my Dad I was finishing work at 6pm and that he was going to be waiting for me back at work. The bus went off into the countryside and I had no idea where I was, or where I was going so I got off the bus and rang home but there was no answer.
It really was in the middle of the sticks where I had got off. So, I walked down the road to this pub and thought to myself sod it I'll just have a few beers in here for a bit and get the return bus. When I left the pub the weather had turned really odd and I got a camera out of my bag and started taking photos. At first the sky was really strange colours and it was quite nice but then these lightening bolts started to come down. I was taking photos like a real trooper when it suddenly went pitch black and I heard a bus pull up. I could hear the engine but I couldn't see where the bus was so I started shouting for the bus not to leave and panicking quite a lot.
Fortunately I got on the bus. There were loads of people standing but lots of free seats so I sat down on a seat and put my bag next to me. At one of the stops this weirdo came on and sat next to me even though there were loads of other free seats and I had to budge up and put my bag on my lap which annoyed me. Then this oddball started trying to put his hand in the bag and I started to get quite agitated.
I got off the bus in Sutton and tried ringing home again to no avail. I was just considering getting the train when my alarm went off and I woke up. I was seriously confused for a second as I really did think I was stranded in Sutton. To say I was a bit bewildered when I woke up would be an understatement, it really would. The sense of relief that I wasn't stranded and that I hadn't left my dad waiting for me at work was quite nice though.
